Don’t Miss Wildlife Weekend 2012 – October 12 & 13
The 15th annual Wildlife Weekend at Steele Creek Park is set for Friday and Saturday October 12th and 13th.
Following an opening reception at 6:30 Friday evening, awards for both the art and photography contests will be presented at the Lodge. Following this, Don Holt will present a special program on Steele Creek After Dark starting at the amphitheater.
There will be a full slate of activities on Saturday including a bird walk and bird banding demonstration, and a variety of other walks and demonstrations. Kids activities will include building bird houses and feeders, animal tracks, fossil casting and nature crafts.
