Another Successful Park Cleanup day

Some 25 or 30 volunteers and Friends Board members showed up today to help with our annual spring Cleanup Day. Many of the volunteers fanned out across the Park, bags in hand to pick up trash that has accumulated during the winter months. Several donned waders and used dipnets to get to the large amount of debris along the lakeshore and in the streams. Participants included a number of students from both King College and Tennessee High.
Meanwhile, several of our Board members could be found pulling weeds, sticks and dead vegetation from the wildflower and butterfly gardens.
Today’s event was held in conjunction with the Great American Cleanup sponsored by Keep Bristol Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful.
