In other exciting news this week, Friends has reached an agreement to partner with Ed Hackley for design of the new exhibit space and displays.  Ed, a native of Bristol, is an internationally recognized exhibit designer.  Among his many clients are the Scripps Institute of Oceanography, the National Academy Of Sciences, Intel Corporation, Aquarium of the Pacific, and the Navajo Nation.  A couple of his projects that are relevant to our vision of the new Nature Center are the Alpine Pond Education Center at the David C. Daniels nature Center, and the “Climate Challenge” Interactives exhibit at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography.  He has already begun working closely with our park naturalists, Jeremy, Don and Larry, to bring to life their ideas for demonstrating the amazing diversity of our region’s natural history.
