Annual Park Events

Kudos to Board member and Communication’s Chair Megan Christian for giving our Friends website a new look and much needed update. Check it out here:

POSTPONEMENT: The SUNDAY 2-mile winter hike scheduled for Jan. 19 (9:00 am) has been postponed to SUNDAY Jan. 26th, same time and place (meet at the Nature Center). Lance Jesse rescheduled the hike due to likely rain/snow.

Sunday, 19 January, 9:30 am Winter Hike: Meet at the Nature Center for a 2-mile, moderate to strenuous hike through the park, getting those resolutions started the right way with some beautiful winter scenery!

The next hike with Harvey will be Wednesday, 15 January. Meet at Mill Creek parking lot at 2:00 PM for a moderately difficult 3+ miles hike starting on the Lakeside Trail, up Hickory Cut Trail, and back down Sinks Way Trail. Total time should be around 2 hours as we travel pass the highest point in the park. Dress warmly and hope to see you there.
