The next hike with “Harvey” aka Commander will be on Wednesday, August 20th. Meet at the Rooster Front Parking Lot where there’s plenty of parking available. The time: 2:00 pm. This will be a slightly difficult 4.0 mile hike on the western side of the park. Total time should be about 2 hours. Hope to see you there and HAPPY TRAILS!

Join us for a “Honey Bee Talk and Walk” on THURSDAY, August 14th, 3:30 pm in honor of WORLD HONEY BEE DAY. Meet at the Nature Center for a talk on these important and amazing pollinators. We’ll also take a short walk to the apiary and see what’s buzzing! For more information, you can call the Nature Center at (423) 989-5616

Join us for a “Vampire Hunt” Tuesday, August 5th, 3:30pm Keep your wooden stakes, garlic, and crucifixes at home; those are not necessary for these vampires. Meet at the Nature Center to learn about some elusive REAL vampires living in the park. Then we’ll go for a hunt to try to find them. For more information call the Nature Center at (423) 989-5616
